Who Was Shakespeare?

Things that we know about Shakespeare are that he was English poet and that he wrote plays. He is often known as the greatest writer and comes up often in English literature. One of his most popular plays is Romeo and Juliet. Some things that we don't know are his religious beliefs and sexuality. There is also speculations about his physical appearance and whether or not others wrote some og his plays for him. When a teacher says that the class will be reading something by Shakespeare an audible groan can be heard from all corners of the classroom. Not many teenagers enjoy reading the works of Shakespeare, and it is reasonable considering that it takes a lot of patience to decipher what Shakespeare was trying to say. I don't need to tell you that English has changed quiet a bit since Shakespeare's time. I can understand just a little more of Shakespeare's plays, but just barely. I still get a quizzical look on my face when I am reading his plays and I get frustrated quickly. Pretty muh everything in his plays still causes me to struggle, so there isn't much progress going on, I am just a little more willing to try to figure out what he is saying.

To Facebook or Not to Facebook

My first impression of Facebook was "this is just like Myspace". I was not all that impressed and went on my account so rarely that it was deleted. The only reason that I have a Facebook now is because some friends kept telling me to make one. I rarely use my current Facebook, but I do use it at times. I just have to be careful what I say consideing my mom also has one and we are friends on Facebook. Some benefits of using Facebook are being able to keep in touch with family that live in different countries, states, or cities. Some risks are cyberbullying. The article and discussion in class didn't really inform me because I already knew what they were talking about. I already knew that some Facebook users were under 13. I'm not going to lie, but I've been over 18 since I was about 13, so I figured if I was saying I was 18 at the age of 13, then saying you were 13 when you were actually 12 doesn't seem like that big a difference.
